Conveyor Belt Tear "Active Interception + Rapid Repair Solution"

1. Pre-interception of Foreign Objects
   • Install iron removers (suction ≥ 12000Gs) and metal detectors (response time < 0.5s) in the upstream process;
   • Fit anti-tear switches at the chute (the system shuts down automatically when the force exceeds 5kN).
2. Emergency Repair Measures
   • Longitudinal tear (length < 5m): Adopt steel cord repair strips (width ≥ 200mm wider than the tear) for hot vulcanization bonding, which can restore the tensile strength to 85% of the original belt;
   • Transverse breakage: Use quick joints (mechanical fasteners) for temporary connection, and re-vulcanize the joint during the shutdown period.
3. Structural Strength Enhancement
   • Select steel cord conveyor belts (breaking strength ≥ 2000N/mm), whose tear resistance is 5 times that of ordinary fabric belts;
   • Add anti-tear idler sets (spacing ≤ 200mm) under the blanking point to prevent foreign objects from penetrating the belt.
